Dallas Go Club is proudly hosting the 12th South Central Go Tournament on the Presidents' Day weekend (Feb. 14 - 15) of 2026.

This tournament will be at UT Dallas in Richardson, TX (Dallas area).
Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome. All players must be current members of the American Go Association for the dates of the tournament. To join the AGA membership, you may do so here.
There will be two sections: an Open Section and and a Handicap Section. All Open Section games are even game with no handicap stones. In the Handicap Section players will be divided into bands based on strength and in each game handicap stones will be awarded to the weaker player based on the difference in strength. Attendance for the 2025 tournament was as below:
- Open Section - 18 players ranging in strength from 7 dan to 2 dan, and
- Handicap Section - 46 players ranging in strength from 1 dan to 20 kyu.
- Players ranged in age from 70 years to 9 years.
There will be 6 rounds with 3 rounds on each day.
The tournament games will be played using 30 minutes of base time plus 3 Byo-yomi of 30 seconds.

Every youth player who is under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent in order to participate in the tournament. Youth player cannot come to the tournament by him/herself. In addition, UT Dallas requires that the parent of each youth play sign a disclaimer document.
